Talk2CAD › Claude connector
For the Claude app and Claude Code
Talk2CAD can be added to Claude as a connector. You describe the part in the chat and get the STL back – without opening the application.
The connector uses the same account, the same credits and the same projects as the application. What you create in the chat then sits under “My models” – and what you saved there, Claude can read and keep working on.
Two routes, depending on what you work with.
Settings → Connectors → “Add custom connector”, and enter this address:
Sign-in goes through your normal Talk2CAD login – you do not need a token for it. You can disconnect connected apps in your profile at any time.
Create a connector token in your profile and run the command shown there. It looks like this:
The token is shown only once and can be renewed or revoked in your profile.
The seven tools the connector provides – and what they cost.
generate_model
Creates a part from a description and stores it as a project.
1 creditupdate_model
Changes an existing project on instruction – “move the bore 2 mm further out” instead of starting over.
1 creditrender_scad
Renders OpenSCAD code you wrote yourself. No AI call, so no credit – also handy for checking Claude's own code.
freeget_scad_code
Reads the source code of a saved project.
freelist_projects
Lists your saved projects, newest first.
freeexport_model
Exports a project as STL, STEP or DXF. Download links are valid for 24 hours.
freeget_account_info
Shows credits and storage usage – so Claude knows when to stop.
freeWhat you should know before you add it.
The connector is a more convenient route to the same thing, not a better result. Every model is measured and checked for a closed shell here too – nothing is warranted by that; the real check happens on the printed part.
Just as in the application. What is processed and stored is described in the privacy policy; nothing is used for training without your explicit consent.
No. The connector uses the same credits as the application – the 50 starting generations work here too.
Yes, at any time in your profile: the connector token can be renewed or revoked, and connected apps disconnected one by one.
Yes. Everything created through the connector is an ordinary project in your account – with 3D view, sliders and all export formats.
The endpoint speaks MCP over streamable HTTP with bearer authentication. It is tested with the Claude app and Claude Code; other clients supporting the same transport should be able to work with it.
50 generations to start – in the application and in the connector alike.
