Talk2CAD for Electrical

For electricians.

The part that is not in the bag of fifty – ready in an hour.

The trunking ends on a mitre, the matching corner piece only comes in bags of fifty, and the device in the distribution board has no snap foot for the DIN rail. That is exactly what a printer in the store room is for – provided somebody designs the part. Talk2CAD does that.

What you build with it

Six parts you cannot buy like that.

Holder for the DIN rail

A TS35 snap foot under a device that has none. You enter width, depth and screw pattern.

End cap and corner piece for cable trunking

To the trunking size you measured, not to a catalogue number.

Jig for the socket grid

71 mm centre distance, repeated as often as you like – for multiple assemblies that have to sit on one line.

Label carrier for terminal blocks

Clips onto the terminal and takes a printed strip.

Blanking cover

For the decommissioned position in the frame – in the size you measure.

Grommet and strain relief

For a sheet-metal hole in an in-between size that no standard grommet covers.

Ready-made models

Free as an STL. Dimensions adjustable right on the model – no account.

Staying honest

What a printed part can do – and what it cannot.

Not every part belongs in the printer

Nothing that carries current, insulates or has to perform in a fire. A printed part is not tested equipment, is not shock protection and has no fire class. Holders, jigs, carriers and covers outside the live area are the sensible use – everything else stays certified equipment.

Choosing the material

It gets warm in a distribution board. PLA gives way at around 55 °C, PETG holds about 75 °C, ASA more. So no PLA for parts inside the cabinet.

Frequently asked questions

May I use printed parts in a distribution board?

For holders, carriers and labelling outside the live area there is nothing against it, as long as the material takes the temperature. Shock protection, terminals, enclosures and anything with a fire requirement stay certified equipment – no printer takes that responsibility off you.

How quickly do I have the file?

Under a minute. Print time depends on size: an end cap is done in twenty minutes, an enclosure takes hours.

Can I change dimensions later?

Yes. Every model keeps its sliders. Trunking width from 40 to 60 – one drag, new file, no new job.

What are you waiting for?
Off to production.

Describe your part. 50 generations on the house – and you see up front what comes after that.
